Due to its high nutritional value and beautiful scent and flavour, Yemeni Sidr honey is recognised as one of the world’s finest premium honey. Yemeni Sidr honey is extensively known and utilised for therapeutic purposes throughout the Middle East and Muslim countries.
The plant from which the name Sidr honey is derived is the wild Sidr tree, also known as Christ’s thorn, which thrives in the uncultivated desert regions of Yemen. The bees that produce Sidr Honey obtain nectar primarily from the Sidr tree, resulting in a honey that is richer and more distinctive.
It is preferable to take Honey dissolved in water to enhance the absorption of its components. The optimal daily dose for an adult is 50 to 100 grammes of Sidr Honey, taken an hour and a half to two hours before eating or three hours after eating. The optimal daily dosage for the child is 30 grammes. A minimum of sixty days is required for the duration of the treatment program.
A key factor in Yemeni honey uniqueness is that pollinating bees make their beehives with no human interference. Furthermore, Yemen has a long history of beekeeping and honey production spanning thousands of years. It is a country with excellent topography and pastures that provides the opportunity to acquire Honey of the highest quality.
